Moving to STL...650whp Civic loser!

Post by SlowOne.5 »

FINALLY a nice car on this board!!!!!!1 Welcome!

Chesterfield and Town and Country are very nice; I've lived in both and NO they're not as pricey as people say. Creve Coeur is nicer IMO and a bit closer to everything. It's not as residential(where i lived...near olive/270) so you don't have a lot of trash that other areas may have since it's mostly businesses and apartment communities.

I have lived all over STL..if you'd like some help I'd be more than happy to offer you both help. As for her going to SLU, I personally wouldn't live in Chesterfield/TandC just b/c of the commute on 40 then through town.

Very nice Civic sir!!!

St. Charles is deff a good place IMO and there are areas that are more open and quiet in certain parts. Also its a pretty easy shot to SLU down 70.

I PM'd you. Are you looking to buy or to rent? I'm friends w/ a few property managers as well, and can get you a good deal. My place was on the market for $1400/m for a 1bed/1bad luxury townhome w/ garage and study and I talked them down to $995/m, and it's only 6 years old. That's a STEAL for my area.

You ARE able to negotiate w/ properties when you check the market and communities. I know I'm paying more than a lot of crappier areas in town, but w/ all of my options and being dead center of town, I couldn't pass it up. I walk to most places now so to me the price was right, considering all the other communities are running 1beds starting at 1000 and going to 1500. A property next to me STARTS at 1950/m. insane.

Nice car. Hope you think $800 a month for rent is cheap as that's probaby what you will be looking at in the "nice" neighborhoods of the STL area. Just my opinion anyway.
“Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” - Bruce Lee

"In the spring you will bloom like your heart through the glass in the back of the ambulance. You turn and you turn and you turn down the street, one more turn, won't you come back to me? And as it turns, the red lights, they were turning into red roses, red roses. Red roses. I'm not giving up." - Steps Ascending by Thursday

Not at all...I paid less in Chesterfield and Creve Coeur and the CC was nice corporate housing. There are nice places for less, you just have to look hard.
