My girlfriend will be attending SLU for her Graduate studies. She is willing to drive 30min to be out of the downtown STL area. We are looking to be in as nice as a community as possible without spendy a ton of money!
I have heard that Chesterfield and Town & Country are nice places to live...true?

Yeah but they are expensive areas. You looking for a house to rent or buy or an apartment or like a condo?

chesterfield is nice. But can be a bit pricey though not as bad as many think.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps
Yes I own 2 slow red chick cars & 1 real car!

Welcome.
Personally, I would look at an inner ring suburb like Shrewsbury. It's right next to the City, it's safe, and it is a 10 minute drive to SLU. Commuting from St. Charles every day would get old pretty quick IMO. However, St. Charles is safe and pretty affordable.
Edit: St. Peters (a city within St. Charles County) is 40 minutes away or more (depending on traffic) from SLU. It's not a bad place by any stretch, but I would seriously recommend staying in St. Louis County. Preferably within the 170 loop.

Nice car man.
As far as places to live, St. Peters/ St. Charles is the place to be, check out O'fallon MO in particular, thats where i'm from. The area is really nice and open, lots of room. Everything you need is 5 min from your house. And if you're really looking for cheaper housing, but they're also really nice is Wentzville. Its a growing city so i assume houses are cheap, but its a little further west then you might want. Just something to look into.
