Killed a Tubo'd RX-8!?

Driving down 270 and a black RX-8 with a lip kit was on there as well... We went back and forth a few times and then decided to go. He downshifted and started to go, so I downshifted for fun and caught him and proceeded to pass him. Caught up to me and I got a thumbs up. Look back at him again and I believe I saw a front mount... I could be mistaken.

Cliffnotes: I beat a torqueless car! It might have been turbo'd :lame:

if he was turbod he woulda handed you your ass,, because the renisis doesnt handle boost very well so most have to swap the 13b re-t into them for a boosted car, nice kill though, those cars make like 260hp stock, this is really startin to piss me off i cant get my car out to make the RUN OF THE YEAR!! against you

MAZDAusa.com states that the manual version of the RX-8 has 232 hp stock. It doesn't clarify if that is to the wheels, more than likely, it is not.

Most RX-8s go with the GReddy setup, and with a 5-6 psi setup they normally increase 50-60 hp, also not clarified if that is to the wheels.

If I see the car again, and I did today, but of course I did not get to see the front end, what luck, but the next time I see it, I'll get the info on what the owner is running.

wow on the forums they say the stock renisis doesnt hold boost good, hense why i said it,, i guess they found a way around it

Thats the one. Silver 6 spoke wheels, different spoiler, and full body kit.

huh i dont think the one i see has a body kit. from what i recall we dont live close(me and u). well unless this car likes to drive around :dunno: .

Saw him again today, and yes it is boost'd, with the GReddy kit... sorry, but I left the camera at home.
