Blacking out my s10

Post by aGUNS »

Has anyone on here used Night Shades to black out their tail lights?

I dont want to order after market tail lights when I can just do it myself.

Just trying to get some tips if anybody has any.

Im going to black out the tail lights, 3rd brake light and the bumper lights.

No you wont. It is not illegal to tint your tails or even your head lights.

Don't black it out. That look is so played out now. I'm not saying a light tint on the lights won't look good, but don't "black" them out completely

I have used nightshade spray to black out taillights, Its extremely easy and Ive never messed up. I usually do 2-3 coats of VHT Nightshade and then 2-3 coats of VHT clear. Always come out very nice, just make sure you get off all the factory shine before you begin to do it.

If your going to do it make sure to wet sand and clear coat them and polish the crap out of them. you can make it look smoother than the paintjob.

Im with some of the others. if your going to do it dont completely black them out. But a certain level of tint can look very good!

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps

Yeah, im not going to completely black them out....im really just going to smoke them. I just want them to look nice.

my plan is to:
Wet sand
put two or three coats of night shades
put a few coats of clear coat
wet sand again
and the buff it out.

Sure will. I have been doing inspections for a long time and any aftermarket cover that blocks the reflector will fail an MVI.
