Walbro 255 Install on 240sx

Post by MaSSaCrE »

Alright well today I installed my walbro 255 into my 240sx. Mind you the old pump worked fine and car started before doing the switch over.

Changed everything over was easy as hell, soldered the wires\heat-shrinked, re-installed everything just as it was before.

Problem is the New Walbro fuel pump fires up perfect when key is turned over and shuts off after a few seconds as if it has built pressure. Car wont even begin to think about starting though when you give it a try.

Pulled the line off the fuel filter to see if it was getting fuel and its not at all.

Pretty stumped, checked and went through just about everything sides maybe the fuel pump relay since it began to rain

The wires were black and red matched so I would think it would eliminate that problem on being backwards.

The hoses are all new but like said could have came off somehow or kinked

I pulled the lines from the top of the tank and it just doesnt even think about sucking gas at all. It def turns on and sounds normal though.

Gonna be delayed on checking the line on fuel pump itself though, one of the 8mm decided to strip on me so I have to drill it.
