are BMW's high maintiance cars ????

If you keep up on the Oil Services and Inspection Services, you shouldn't have many problems with the car. Oil Services average $120 and Inspec. I & II's average $500-$600. Brakes average between $400-$1,000 depending on the car and what needs to be replaced. It may sound like a lot of money, but after you see how spaced out the services are, its not that bad.

And those prices are what BMW dealers charge. If you go through an independent service shop like Bimmers R Us (They use OEM BMW parts) or Bavarian (They use aftermarket OE spec parts), the price my be a little cheaper.

this is pretty close...

My oil changes at Bimmers R Us are $80...

the brake rotors wear out with pads so when they do go out... expect to replace both. I had all 4 go out and was about $1200 for everything to be replaced

i also have done inspection II and it was about $650 after tax and all..

the inspections are to be done every 30K miles so keep that in mind if you are buying one that is close to being due
