Not new but never made an intro...

Post by DizzyB »

Cheers boys and girls. My weekend car is an '03 COBRA, pullied, bolt ons + tuned, stock Eaton blower, 14 psi. Only 11,000 miles on her. Not here to talk about that car...

My DD is my wife's old '98 Civic EX 4 door, auto. 100% stock. She was the original owner, bought it with 10 miles on it back in 1997. 155,000 miles later, runs like a champ. I've spent more money fixing my Cobra in two months, than we have fixing the Honda the entire time we've owned it. :whiner: I also owned a '93 Prelude VTEC, first car I ever bought, when I was 20 years old. Had a catback exhaust and that was it. Always like the reliability of Honda, they've never let me down.

Anyway, why am I here? Honestly, for the complete opposite reason most are here. I don't want to mod the car, I just want to learn about routine maintenance. I also need to diagnose why the electric locks on the doors won't work and I also want to locate a set of stock, low mileage springs + struts for it.

Thanks. :bouncy:

Thanks for the welcomes. I want to play by the rules, I don't need another infraction. I'll wait until I hit 30 posts and then hit up the WTB section.

sounds like you have bad actuators with the door locks.

I'll look into that. The key fob turns the lights on inside the car when you press unlock, but the doors don't unlock. Likewise, you can't unlock the doors from the inside of the car with the auto door lock/unlock.

Nice weather to start a little investigation....
