Doesn't look very promising... from that trailer it does not appear that these guys have anything near the witty entertaining personality of the original BBC Top Gear, which was a big part of it sucess I think.

I'm with you on this.

The main key to TG's very wide audience is that the hosts all have "chemistry" with each other. They know how to push each other's buttons in a good way. Hell, a bunch of people I know who hate car shows LOVE to watch TG because of this. Maybe if whoever is putting this thing together knew that is what makes the original good it would be all smiles.

I just don't see THIS American version working out. I get Tanner Foust as a host, but the other two I've watched host things and I just didn't get it... Maybe they'd be fine all together but right now I don't see it happening. Also, the fact that there aren't any British accents somehow makes it less funny to me... (don't ask me why haha!)

On a side note: Anyone with netflix, TG season 12 is up for instant watch!!!

a guy in one of the YouTube comments wrote:I think Top Gear UK works because it's tongue in cheek. It's also nice that the jocular idiocy is tempered with charm, genuine automotive/engineering knowledge and intelligence. This appears to be presented by the Stig's thrice removed inbred cousins.
Very true!

Im all for more review/entertainment car shows but, the humor doesnt look dry enough to pull off the stunts. Part of the comedy came from the lack of comrodary, and the challenges were done with a few laughs but for the most part it was commentary instead of fat-beard-man laughing his ass off all day.

Tanner could pull it off but, they need 2 new replacements.
