Alright guys, i'm thinking about switching to Alien Bees from my 430s. Anyone using the AB set ups? if not what are you using and what are your thoughts? Maybe post a couple pics for examples and where you placed the lights.... Thanks again fellas.

I use foamcore. 3.99 from home depot. I don't believe in fake lights.

Jerren, i appreciate the art of using natural light only but night shots aren't going to really "shine" lol
talking about maybe some on location shots of cars at night or the clients i do on location shots for, like when i was in Tokyo since it was so crowded we could use the gap between some buildings(walkways) where there was graffiti and different shooting backgrounds and not so great lighting. i would have to use the 430EXs.
Tony, not being an ass but what do you mean make my own? Good lights aren't really just made...and i'm not trying to make and box, like i said above to Jarren i want some portable studio lights i can use on location.

and i don't really shoot cars. lol. when I shoot at night, I just use a tripod and "find the light" but again, i haven't shot any cars at night though. I hear good things about alien bees though. We have some in the studio that i use to lean my reflector/foam core against.

I've used AB B400s before and they are pretty sweet, Only thing I dont like about this kind of lighting is the portablity.
My setup is 3 nikon SB-800s, each with a Pocket Wizard Plus II, and one on the hot shoe of the camera. Ones set infront of the car, one to the side, and 1 diagonal from the passenger rear quarter panel. Haven't really mastered it just yet, it sucks that the older pocket wizards don't support I-TTL.
