Using the timer on the videos, looks like the quarter time is high 12's/low 13's on the street for you guys (used TA's launch and stopped when he lifted; yes, I understand that he was probably on it a little bit after he quarter...) Not calling BS, just saying that it does not sound like 600 whp to me.

Yeah, I think if you hit your last shift, you will actually do quite a bit better as you were just getting ready to go around him. You have a short throw in there? If so, get it out of there...

Here is one of my friend's 380 whp LT1 TA's (close lane). Pretty sure they appear to be leaving a little different. Any other video of said TA in your vids?

YouTube - TA vs Camaro

earlier in the thread he said the t/a was ported heads, nice size cam, bolt ons and a 200 shot. if the heads/cam (gears and rear also effect #s if those arent stock) was more specific i could get a ballpark number but even if were stock heads and a mild cam, that would be an easy 400rwhp through a 6 speed and a 10 bolt. now if its a big converter/th400/12 bolt rear it would make a good bit less. so what my pointless ramblign is getting at is an easy 400rwhp + a 200 shot is a good candidate for 600 to the rear wheels. not trying to show you up or anything, just shedding light.

and im glad im not the only one of the planet that doesnt like short throws!

Yes, I continue to forget that bench racers go by DynoJet numbers. When I hear 600 whp, I think of Mustang dyno numbers. Then again, 600 whp on a dynojet is 528 AT BEST on a Mustang. 600 whp on a Mustang is over 680 on a dynojet. Sorry to show you up but the car I posted took first place at the LTX shootout in the Xtreme Street class in '08. I know that dyno numbers don't mean shit. 400 whp on a Mustang will take a lot more than a "small cam and some ported heads"

Not trying to show you up or anything but the car in the video is an auto. So your above "theories" are null and void.

Also, for the "bench racers" on STLHondas: a 200 shot DOES NOT GIVE YOU 200 WHP!!! If you would like to prove me wrong, feel free to PM me and schedule a time to bring your car down. I'll have my neighbor strap your car down so you can run. I know you won't want to show me up or anything....

Back to the OP, get that shift down and things will be interesting at the big end. Heck, take your time on that last shift because once you get it in gear, you WILL be pulling him...
