aftermarket springs arent that expensive compared to a coilover kit. a good spring from Tein is $300. a coilover kit on the otherhand, your looking at over $500. unless you go knockoff. but i suggest away from knockoffs.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Welcome to the forum, there are plenty of good write ups on here about how to mod oyur Civic and such even though it won't be for your exact chassis, it's all the same with FWD Hondas. Have fun!
