New wheels

Post by ProZach626 »

Wheels weren't next on the list, but for the price, I couldn't pass them up. 480 for the whole set, regular 250/wheel. HFP bronze alloy wheels - 17x7. On stock rubber. Going to buy some decent tires, after my vegas trip, in may. Hopefully I'll be sporting some buddy club coilovers, by late summer.

I have an intake, and I don't feel like wasting money on bolt on's for a few worthless whp. I'm going to focus on suspension/handling, for the time being. Cosmetically, the car is finished.

Goals before fall:
225/40/17
Buddy Club Coilovers with about a 1.5" drop.

Thanks, guys. I would have stuck with OEM wheels, but again, I couldn't pass these up. I had intended on getting HFP wheels, but not for a year or two. When I saw them for half price, I figured I could save myself a few dollars, next year.

Lips are okay, but I'm keeping the body OEM.

Dropping it? Absolutely. I had intended on doing so, before wheels... again, until I saw the deal.

Not sure what the long term will hold. I only plan on keeping the car for 2-3 years. Not really interested in making it 'fast'. The best way for me to get a good ET is to practice. I'm just looking to build a car that I can be proud of, and suited to my performance wants/needs. Exhaust and header(vibrant with HFC) will most likely eventually follow. Maybe a CT supercharger. High 13's-low 14's would be fine for me, in the 1/4, as long as the car handles well. Especially since it's my DD.

Hah. I guess you're right. No lips for me, though.
