One my old set up the car would laugh at u if you built about 5psi and then let off the throttle half way. Gotta love that compressor surge.

Wow, some ignorant haters on here. For the record, WRC rally cars do not use BOVs, perhaps you guys should call up Prodrive and tell them "hayyy, ur doing it wrongzzz"

No, comparing a WRC rally car to a street driven Honda is retarded. Why don't you pull off your dump valve and tell me how long your VF8 lasts? The blow off valve is designed to protect the turbo from compressor surge which kills bearings. How long do WRC cars last?...

Most VF series turbos do not like compressor surge but there are many turbos out there that can handle a non recirc'ed or BOV'd setup just fine. I searched but couldn't find the car I was referring to. An Impreza w/ 2.5L STI block and aftermarket turbo running a block off plate where the BPV would be.
