they usually just say "vtec" or "honda" tommy, not both.

Its an OBD2 valve cover. USDM OBD2 VC's never had VTEC printed on them, just Honda. And the USDM covers that had VTEC printed on them (late '93-'95 D16Z6) didn't have it printed that big.

They only came on late '93-'95 D16Z6s.
