Yeah, I've thought about trying that before, but trying to use the Fox platform instead of the Vette. I just think it might be a fun project to try, as long as it's even possible, to make a nice hatch or coupe v6 powered and RWD while still using OE Honda parts. Something like that might actually make me look for a good project car, instead of just doing what the guy with the Civette did and pull the body off and retrofit it in the Vette frame.slammeds2k;143150 wrote:um ya!! there's a thread somewhere about it on LS1tech. IIRC, the guy had the civic as a DD and bought the Vette for like 2K cause it was totaled. He did all the fabrication himself in his garage in his spare time. I think he lives in Memphis, and it's first pass down the track was in the 11'sslammeds2k;143156 wrote:I didnt even know he did that..... kinda brings the coolness factor down a bit where did you hear that from?

How do you figure? Can you do 12s with a stock n/a 4 cylinder swap? HELL no. Just b/c the J-swap is rare, doesn't mean its horribly hard. Hasport made mounts for most of those.SilverStreak;143184 wrote:Both. Waste of time and money.
If you feel like NOT being like every other Civic, and you want a retarted-fast street car, its not a waste at all. And a lot cheaper than you may think.

No. But can 12's, 11's, and 10's be achived with half the cost of a J-Swap. HELL yes. I never said it was hard, just pointless. This goes hand and hand with K-Swaps. The cost to power ratio makes them worthless IMO.02Type-S;143189 wrote:How do you figure? Can you do 12s with a stock n/a 4 cylinder swap? HELL no. I don't think so. Plus, yeah a turbo B16 can hit 12s, but a BONE STOCK J32 in a civic already does 12s. If you actually started modding the J32, you are already WAY ahead. You can stroke the J32 to a 3.5 with all Honda parts for a 50-60 WHP gain. Headers on a J32 to 28-32 WHP.SilverStreak;143195 wrote:No. But can 12's, 11's, and 10's be achived with half the cost of a J-Swap
So to say its a waste of time and money is funny to me. Esp with having no knowledge of the potential of these motors.
