This is one of the stupidest commercials I have ever seen.

1. Since when are pits guard dogs?
2. yeah lets make people more afraid and pussy like, then they already are
3. FUCK verizon for even thinking this commercial is ok to air.

they probably just thought of the "scariest" dog they could think of. i dont understand how people cannot see that it is the owner that makes a dog what it is, and not the breed

I dont think the commercial would be quite as effective if they used a Golden Retriever or a St. Bernard.

I do agree with you that its a stereotype and its the owner that makes the dog, but the plane and simple fact is tee stereotype does exist and the marketing department used it to their advantage.

There is a HUGE petition going around for them to take it down. A lot of Verizon cutomers ghave been threatening to cancel their service because of it, which makes me happy!

Why didnt they just use what normal people think of when you hear junkyard dog? A rottweiler

I bet hes not even ferocious.

And I can gaurntee you 85% of population would be like "Oh my gosh those dog are so scary!!" Just because of that one picture.
