got my Tri-Y header delivered yesterday!!!

Post by 99SilverCX »

So I ordered my header on Friday from Highend Autosports after reading a comparison on Honda-Tech
It's not the best header out of the three tested, but it's the cheapest and I think it looks really clean. The Highend header runs usually about 600$, the Rage header is about 700$, and I didn't get a chance to price the DTR header, but my assumption its probably as expensive or even more expensive than the Rage header.
But here's the catch:
HIGHEND AUTOSPORTS ONLY HAS 7 HEADERS ON HAND, SO THEY ARE SELLING THEM FOR 400$ A PIECE!!!! That's only 100$ more than a cheap-ass EBay Tri-Y replica.
But anyways, here are some pics of the header, I'll post some pics of it when I install it on the car later this week.

make sure you wipe it down before you start you car when you put it on. unless you want a bunch of bright blue fingerprints burnt on to it.

I actually have some heat wrap that I got for my old header and never wrapped it, I think I'll use that to keep stuff from getting burned onto it.
I'll have pictures of the clearance with my beat up itr replica header and this one for comparison.
Stay tuned for pix...

well, as of right now I'm not emmisions legal because it's a OBD1 motor in OBD2 car. I think that the length of this header is the same as my old one, if not, then I'll give HTP a call and they will move my CAT back a little...

and what's the issue with the O2 placement?
