speaking of which does anyone have a middle crx tailight that has crx on it. for some reason mine is stock but does not say crx like they all do...

Look, if you guys don't like clear tail lights, then that's fine. Those are your opinions and I'd rather you send them to me in a PM instead of displaying them on my thread to embarrass me.

Let me tell you about the clear tail lights I have. They are all clear with no red or any other colors. They stopped making them not too long after they were on the market because they didn't have any red in them and people were using their regular white bulbs which of course isn't legal and is going to cause problems. They are extremely rare and I think they look good on the car. I think they look better than euros (which I hate) and a lot of people have.

I'm not a "ricer". I have two CRX's. This one has the clears on it at the moment and the other one has all stock lights. I do not have any body kits, wings, stickers, rice pipes or any other poppycock. I am a honda enthusiast but I am not a JDM junkie. (This is where the JDM freaks attack me) Although I do like to keep my hondas nice and from the factory looking, I don't go overboard with it and try to make it all JDM. I like to upgrade the lights and try to have a little up to date look by getting away from the 80/90's dull lights with amber corners. Clear is as far as I go. No euros, halos, projectors.

I bought two sets of those all clear tails off ebay for $40 a set... then I boiled em and stole the corner lenses out of them to make custom red/clear tails and trashed the rest of the 3pc sets. had I known they were sought after I might have kept them... but probably not.

but seriously... I think you are getting slightly over defensive. I saw what you wrote last night too, not everyone is out to get you or is going to attack you for stating an opinion. Just because "JDM" is the current prevailing trend in modding hondas doesn't mean that it is the only way people think you can do it. The main reason that JDM parts are so popular is that thats the easiest way to find clean parts for these cars... most aftermarket companies spew out obnoxious altezzas, huge wings, and extreme body kits... JDM parts are a way to be different from the guy down the street but still subtle enough that people don't necessarily notice what you did. I am all about taste in modifying cars... serveral members can vouch that my cars look stock until you get up close and see the few "goodies" I have put on them, but thats the point. the biggest thing I have done to any of my cars is the J's racing replica lip on my hatch, and even that I only did because there are screw holes in the bumper that I wanted to cover up; otherwise I would have put a stock si lip on. But... as of late, I love the all amber corners on the JDM taillights (fuck rear sidemarkers) so I source a set for my cars.

I've always been a supporter of the "to each their own" stance; but that doesn't mean that I am not going to state my opinions, this is an open forum after all. I'm a smart ass, especially when I am bored and stuck at work all day, so I apologize if my joke offended you.
