Sorry to here of your loss. What's the plan for the integra? And what's the plan for your next car? Why's the sky blue?
I'm full of questions, sorry.

You did a good job handling that situation ... at highway speeds in that type of scenario either you and / or her could have been easily seriously injured or killed
So, hurt as it might, consider yourself skilled and lucky to have no more sorrow than a wrecked car
First job was to understand the situation and avoid the impact, which you did ... pat yourself on the back ... the with the springs compressed on one side of the car from the evasive manuever, when you swung the wheel back over the other way, likely in a very quick move, you likely didn't over correct but rather allowed the compressed springs to quickly unwind with all their force which throws a car into a spin every time. Hopefully there's never a next time, but if there is, more slowly unwind the wheel. Counter-intuitive, but it works
That said, "DAMN, my favorite gen Integra!!"
Okay, that emotion unbottled now ... wouldn't it be nice if that lady told you "thanks for not killing me"
Holler if you need a recommendation on a lawyer ... her insurance company is going to nothing but dodge you and you're not going to get shit unless you have a lawyer
Also, play close attention to your body, equilibrium, vision, any aches and pains and see a doctor at the smallest, slightest indication ... think of a contact sport where the pain sets in the next day ... any physical element to this situation tilts the scales of negotiation ten-fold
A friend at work has your car, in white, but with an auto if you're interested ... lower mileage, garaged, only thing wrong is some paint scrapes on the bumper ... holler if interested
Congrats on not becoming a statistic

Yeah, that's the plan.Dabeastwthn;87170 wrote:That sucks! Glad everyones good though. Your ins co will prolly fight against hers for you, saying that it was her fault so they don't have to pay for it.

Let me know what happens with it.
Regardless of the buy back offer, I'd have to pass because I have no place to store it. Asshole neighbors FTL. I'd love to get another 'Teg, but, oh well, I'll see what happens.Nat X STL;87193 wrote:Sorry to here of your loss. What's the plan for the integra? And what's the plan for your next car? Police report points in her fault. I avoided making any contact with her. My friend did say she looked drunk; we figured out she just came back from a club, and when he went over there, she was kind of dozing off in a sleep. She claims somebody else was with her, but it was only her as far as we know. :dunno:99preludesh;87201 wrote:thats crazy sorry to hear man.

GTI-GUY, everything conerning my health is fine. Minor cuts and bruises, had a pain in the neck and leg that's already gone away. I don't blame anybody for those but myself because I didn't have my seatbelt on..I removed them a while ago so I could remove the headliner...Damn headliner..

if you really wanted the car, I'm sure you could find someone generous enough to let you store the car at their place for a little while... I would offer, but my driveway is too as it is and I have a parts car that is still waiting to be towed home for me.ObsesionWitSped;87207 wrote: Regardless of the buy back offer, I'd have to pass because I have no place to store it. That's the "civilian" way ... your insurance company will seek only to cover the expense of what they'd have to pay, nothing more
They could care less about your physical injuries, nor the value of your wheels or any other $ you put into your car
And plenty of neck injuries heal initially but manifest themselves later in time
