Track Video from AutoBahn in Joliet IL

If you get a chance to do this track, do it - it's only a 4 hour drive away and it's just awesome fun and safe as well with tons of runoff room ... you don't get that here at Gateway

This video is from me on the on the full course (normally they run separate north and south segments) which offers 20+ turns! Watching this again helps me get through the Winter until track season starts up again ... it's just an awesome track in the "country club" manner where guys spend $20k to join and a hefy annual fee to get X amount of track time

Sometimes they have "leftover" track time and open it to the public ... that's how I jumped aboard and you could too

Hey, it's the best legal drug around! As far as road courses near us:

Gateway ... best described as a "roval" since it's part road course that also uses the Nascar oval. Not the ultimate track at all, but hey still fun

Putnam Park ... 3.5 hours away to the east in very southern tip of Indiana. Nice layout, elevation changes, plenty of runoff room

AutoBahn in Joliet as described above ... 4ish hours away and an awesome track

Heartland Park in Topeka ... almost 5 hours away and the home of the SCCA. Good track, adds in some off-camber sections

I'll start beating the drum when the track seasons starts back up in April and will keep you Honda guys and gals updated with what's coming up!

YES! Glad to see someone else running that course. That's the very first track I ever ran on. I'm from just a bit south of Joliet. Decent enough drag strip there too.

Wow, a sharp looking gal that also tracks her car? Neato. That was my first and only time there so far, and on my list to come back to in '08. Hopefuly can drag a few folks here along and make a weekend of it. Then again, what exactly is there to do in/near Joliet ... well, other than a prison tour that is?
