Nice runs for both of you. Sucks you couldn't be here Monday or yesterday for the FREE dyno time...
ill be there sometime dont worry, probably the beginning of next year..

this time of year just always fucks me. so much shit keeps popping up that i need money for that i dont have and then i go without working.. but i guess it would have been cheaper on gas to just drive it down there..ive drove down to the lake before on a few occasions. ah well, i better just wait until i get my intake manifold.

did justin dyno?

im not working at all this week....deer season ending cant work in the woods, thanksgiving, and also rain. ahhhhhhhh

and my friend who ran 10.6 also does not have a cage..

other friend with a 10.6 lightning does not have one either.

try doing that at gateway LMAO!

anything quicker than 10.0 at kcir and they will say something though...
When i went to CMSU I noticed that about KCIR, the tech was a joke. Of the 4 times i ran my old CRX they popped the hood once and that one time he said to tie the battery down better next time.

i wouldnt say its a joke lol.. its great. that is why gateway isnt as popular as it is...as far as the non nhra events and fast cars at TNT's, etc.. the few times ive been up to gateway, they wanted to know if i had a helmet and jacket...but if i would have been quicker than 11.5 i know i would have been outta there.

the rogersville track (OIR, ozark intl. raceway) isnt that strict as well..dont even enforce helmets or firejackets lol.

i dont think ive ever seen a popped hood..

to tell you the truth, nobody around here or anywhere that i know of that likes gateway except for the people living in st louis..except for some of the local fast and furious idiots who like that drifting bullshit.... im only there for nopi.

Nice runs, too bad about the axle but I guess its expected on a high hp fwd. Congrats on the run you did get in though.... thumbs up.

Gateway is kind of hit or miss. I have my compaints but it is the closest to me unfortunately. I absolutely hate when it is so busy you sit in staging for hours to only get a few runs, but then there is other times when you can run till your blue in the face over and over.

Tech is more strict about some things but they have yet to kick out any of my friends or know that are all running quite a bit faster than the 11.49 rule this year. None of them have a bar or anything, just street cars... for example a 10.9's-11.2's fox body car or the very low 11's evo8, etc. Hell even the talon that passed the mph mark to need certified cage/ competition liscense they did not really say anything to my knowledge until someone else mentioned it a few events later to the tech guys, even then I dont know if he has been asked about the liscense (although he does have a bar).

But they dont really bend on the helmet and fire jacket rule unless you are a factory turbo car with just a bigger turbo or something... I have seen that get by them.

Honestly, depending on who techs you through, you can get a cavity search or just a quick glance... its all subjective to the tech crew. I had my battery out back (trunk) and the custom turbo kit on my car... they glanced at my car, told me to remove the stock wheels center cap and were on their way. :PDT_ow:

my stock ex wheels have push on center caps and so they dont come off by some random unexplained event they have you remove them... its retarded since I obviously have not had them fall off in street driving it but hey whatever. took me like 2 seconds and they were happy, plus I did not want to be a dick since they did not notice my car should not have tech'd.
