See from what I got was that the officer was by the car and the guy started to pull away again and the officer decided he had to hop on the car to stop him. Thats why I think he could have handled it better.

I'll say the officer did exactly as he was trained, in a situation like this they don't use equal force. They are trained to use a force greater than that of the threat. The man fleeing was using his vehicle as a deadly weapon(deadly force), so the officer had reasonable means to shoot (deadly force) the driver for his and others safety. So i would say 1 up to the cop for stopping the situation from escalating into a longer pursuit, thus endangering more civilian lives. No disrespect, but I have a question AJ, have you ever shot a pistol it's not as easy as you would think, I have and have been trained by police marksmen to do so, And I once raised the question of shooting out a moving cars tires. they said it was all Hollywood, or a fluke and the cop doing it in real life had seen too many movies and got lucky (usually with a shotgun). An on the note of the misinformation in the article, since when has the news ever had 100% of the facts strait on any story ever?

I would have shot the mother fucker long before that. I think that if a officer feels like there life is in danger and/or endangering the lives of others they should be able to use their right to use deadly force without anyone bitching about it. That guy would have had multiple attemps of man slaughter, amung alot of other charges and at the officers involved should be able to use any means neccary to end the pursuit/chase. Maybe thats just me being the son of my father being a Marine, and also an ex-cop(who had been put in a situation where it may have been life or death) and my mother being a cop for 25+ years. In my opion he fucking deserved it.

actually the guy shouldnt have run. that eould have ended this whole thisng. since he ran, tried to kill the officer after putting more than just himself in danger,the cop was justified in killing his ass

in some states it is illegal to pursue over 100 miles per hour....i dont know how fast the cops were going, but im sure they exceeded that speed a couple of times.....when cops chase, especially at high speeds like that, not only is the "criminal" threatening the safety and lives of others, but the police are as well.........now, i dont know why they were chasing him, or what he did as i did not read the article, because you can almost guarantee the facts are distorted, being that the media's source or main source would have been the police department, therefore it is COMPLETELY biased....im not saying the criminal is in the right BY ANY MEANS, but keep in mind the local video that made national headlines recently...that shit happens on the daily.....and the only time(GENERALLY) the police accept fault is when mass media gets ahold of it.....now im straying a little here, and as i mentioned i DONT know what the guy did wrong initially, but there is not much he could have done that i see reason to put other peoples lives in danger by putting another 5 or more cars at 60+ mph on residential roads.......before the second cop joined in they had his plate number......if they are such a great force(the police)they can think a little and come up with more creative ways to take care of things like this and use patience......as far as blowing his face off at the end......fuck that, i NEVER saw him try to RAM a police car at any point in the video, and that was a weak excuse for the officer to gain another charge and have"reason" to use deadly force.......i saw him turn around, to go the other way and try to be "tricky", but he wasnt trying to ram the cop......i tend to have quite a bit of animosity toward police (in general) due to several things that have happened to me without reason......like being woken up with a gun to my head because of some untrue "he said she said" highschool like shit .....ive seen way too many examples first hand of these guys being WAY in the wrong, and so i guess my OPINION is biased as well.........anyway............to sum it up........i just think it could have been handled in a way that nobody had to die, is all.................patience is key, especially if you want to do things right........pick your moves......................and i didnt post this to argue or rub anyone the wrong way, just to give a slightly different angle/perspective on things............
