Roberto, you rock my world.SilverStreak;67999 wrote:I believe it the inlet hose comes off the intake manifold and outlet hose goes to the IACV (Idle Air Control Valve). I'm not 100% sure on that because I haven't looked at one in a while since my OBD-II Auto D-Series setup only utilizes the 3-wire TB-mounted IACV.

Hmmm ran without mine on the Fodo and I do beleive Stolle runs this way away well in the rex but then again we were both OBD-0.SilverStreak;67991 wrote:FITV = Fast Idle Thermo Valve. Its located right below the throttle body. I'm surprised that your not having any idle issues at start up.

werd, take the darn thing off like you said this isnt alaska, make a plate and bolt it over the hole, or put some gasket material between the "FITV" and throttle body to cover up the ports, just make sure its sealed...

So you DONT actually need it... ive had a few other cars where i did the coolant bypass on the TB. . . . . basically it'll be fine as long as it's sealed up?stolle;68081 wrote:werd, take the darn thing off like you said this isnt alaska, make a plate and bolt it over the hole, or put some gasket material between the "FITV" and throttle body to cover up the ports, just make sure its sealed...

some b-series t/bs dont run those... makes it real easy to delete them, just look around.

im sure your not, im sure honda did that for a reason but if its fine without it and could potentially help in the hp department so why not do it? i would not recommend doing it on an automatic though...SilverStreak;68177 wrote:It always seems like I'm the only one who likes to do things the OEM/right way... :dunno:
yup, and as spork said some of the throttle bodies dont even have them so you could just find one like that...TheSpringfieldKid;68159 wrote:So you DONT actually need it... ive had a few other cars where i did the coolant bypass on the TB. . . . . basically it'll be fine as long as it's sealed up?

Well after you get your " Master OEM Technician " title, be sure to let me know so i can drop a box of cookies in the mail for ya.SilverStreak;68177 wrote:It always seems like I'm the only one who likes to do things the OEM/right way... :dunno:
Part of the fun is in the trial and error. If a coolant bypass will lower your AIT and not affect how the car runs, then why not do it? If it doesn't work out, THEN take the OEM route. :occasion14:
