wow this would suck

Qutoe from another forum-A vendor (to be unamed at this time) sold him the wrong threaded spline drive lug nuts. They were apparanelty fine thread instead of course (this was the observation of at least one participant there who is a professional mechanic). They threaded on ok, and held torque, but when he went into the first turn, the front passenger wheel came off, then followed quickly by the other 3 as the car lost balance and unevenly applied pressure the the other corners.

After the car was lifted up and and the stock wheels and nuts put on, the underside looked ok, it rolled, started up and was driving to the paddock area to wait for a flatbed. It looked like the rotors took the brunt of the fall. The fenders and 1/4 panels are all dented.

I really hope the vendor who sold him the wrong parts takes some responsibility for it.

That's all I know about it as of today. If there's anything else, I'd imagine he would be the one to add it.

Please keep speculation, shit talking, etc off this topic. If you have something helpful to offer, do so, otherwise keep it out of the thread.

Did anyone else notice that the driver pulled up the e-brake, ya it's really going to roll away. But on a more serious note, that sucks hope the lug vendor forks over some $ for the repairs.

That's all,
