yeah, i got a lot of research to do. i hate how slow this car is, but maybe im just spoiled lol
as far as needing a cable clutch tranny, if i get a motor that uses a hydraulic clutch, couldnt i just take the brake booster and master cylinder from the year/model car that motor came out of, and then fab it up? seems like it wouldnt be too difficult....

Your breaks and clutch are not linked at all.REVOisGO;234808 wrote:yeah, i got a lot of research to do. i hate how slow this car is, but maybe im just spoiled lol

You could fab up a hydro system, or hasport makes a hydro to cable conversion kit.

it would be easier to just yank everything out of a car at the junkyard pedal assembly and transmission everything you would need. most all d-series internal tranny parts are interchangable so even if you found a dx trans you could swap in a final drive from a 92-2000 civic ex the dx FD is 3.88 and si/ex is 4.25 the d-series cable trannys are easy to find and easy to fix/rebuild. you could even build a zc/si hybrid trans which is a super close ratio 5 spd.REVOisGO;234808 wrote:yeah, i got a lot of research to do. i hate how slow this car is, but maybe im just spoiled lol

my advice would be to convert to a 5spd then to multi point then figure out if you want a turbo. keep the single cam they are fun as hell with a small turbo, cheap and still get 30+mpg!

the hydro tranny is physically different you would have to fab something for the slave cylinder. then you would have to get mounts to mount it in the car, too much work if you ask me.
