SCCA event at gateway today...

Jake (j8k16) a friend of ours, and I were up at the SCCA event today and I got some pictures. It was my first time going to one and I thought it was pretty cool. I figured I'd start the pictures out with an stlhondas guy. Enjoy.

Not too bad, the first too look a bit soft. What did you do as far as pp to make the last 2 b&w? Desaturate maybe?

Yeah just desaturate and darken it a little. Havnt spent a whole lot of time on them, probably never will. Hope I get time to though. I cant wait to go agian and give it another shot because most of them are slightly blury. Do you use a tripod when you shoot these things?

If theyre blurry, kick up the iso a bit. A tripod does help, but at the speeds you want your shutter, it just keeps your camera up and level. Instead of desturate, try going thru a gradient map if you have cs2. I can tell you right now youre gonna like that route better than desaturate. Doesnt make them as dull really. If you have aim hit me up, I can help ya more on there.
