as far as I know the SiR cluster does not just plug into a USDM CRX's. but some people try to sell them like they hook right up :dunno:
The SiR cluster has a warning light for the anti lock brakes and one for low fuel which will need their own harness for them to work. (although your CRX most likely doesn't have abs so the wouldn't work at all) Another thing is since the guages are in different location on the cluster there might be problems with your factory plugs actually reaching the guages. the wires might not be long enough.
I might suggest looking into getting a cluster from a european CR-X 1.6i-VT. It has the 8,000 RPM redline and km/h readings like the SiR's, but without the extra lights and rearanged guage locations. so it would be an easier swap than the SiR
I can get you some pics of each if your interested
*edit* you will also need an electrical speed sensor to get the speedometer to work correctly

ahh, i just found out that the reason people say that are a direct fit is because they do not include the wire plugs on the back of the guages. you will have to put your own on :fruit:

i like the ukdm ones too but can't find to meny of them. i have a jdm one ready to buy at the lowest i've seen in a while. all i need is for the tach speed o meter, turn signals, gass and temp gauges to work. so will my plugs fit into the slots of the jdm one. becuse i can make the wires longer for the relocation if necessary.

yeah, the plugs will fit, but most companies sell them sir cluster without the plugs, so you will have to chop the ones off your stock cluster and use themJ8k'S CRX;8672 wrote:i like the ukdm ones too but can't find to meny of them. i have a jdm one ready to buy at the lowest i've seen in a while. all i need is for the tach speed o meter, turn signals, gass and temp gauges to work. so will my plugs fit into the slots of the jdm one. becuse i can make the wires longer for the relocation if necessary.
