so... why the name calling? No one here called you retarded for making that car, no need to start getting super defensive about it.

Ok, you are trying to sell the car. the easiest way to do that would be with as close to a stock appearance as possible. why? because that way it appeals to the largest group of people. big body kits/modifications and wierd paint colors severely limit the buyer market, and you will either have to be prepared to wait a long time for the right buyer to come along, or take a huge lose to sell to quick. the car has all of the groundwork to make a pretty strong runner, I would have invested the money in a turbo/SC set-up and put it up for sale, a stock looking built FI car would sell much easier than the package you have put together.
oh well, live and learn

right... but thats why people take time and do it. if I remember right, you guys said you spent like 2 days on it to get it ready for the meet, but I'm not sure why you would do something like that. No offense, but that car was seriously the laughing stock of that whole meet, from the minute you pulled up and parked in the dead center of everything, to when the for sale sign came out, until you left, I heard people snickering, laughing, and talking (negatively) about the car. now, had you guys taken more time and molded the whole kit and painted it white (even if that meant that you missed THAT meet) the whole thing would have been different. People DO respect good work, even if it isn't their style. But something that is only done half way is a whole different ballgame; it's easy to pick at because they can just attack the obvious flaws. If you plan on undertaking a project like a 12 piece body kit, you have to be prepared to do all of the work required for it, that includes molding it in.

so really what your tryin to say is, the man brought a unfinished project to the meet and everyone was making fun of his car... well i personally am not a hater and would have noticed that its a work in progress. so he got all the work done he could for the meet and it looked bad. i see nothing wrong with a guy bringing a car to a meet to show off the work hes put in it. finished car or unfinished the guy wanted to show up in his car and meet people.

but then he tried to sell it unfinished??

i just got up i may have said something stupid...

personally i kinda like it. the wheels don't flow well with that kit, but to each his own, right??

as far as color goes, i'm thinking a blue(electron blue) something like that.

otherwise, it's your car...you mod it the way you like it. different strokes for different folks.

good luck with the build, it could definately be a show winner :)

this is one of the reasons i havent been to a meet yet . im not a very relaxed person and dont need the drama from some little punk whos mom and dad still wipe there ass for them. ive met a few ppl from the boards and everyones been cool so far,but like they said in this post is everyone has there own opinion on how shit sshould look and what they like . its just some ppl deal with dislikes better than others some just ignore it, some will be complete dicks about it.

do not spend an ass load of money to make other ppl happy .if they dont like it O FUCKIN WELL. its ur car make it how you want it . :w00t:
