that video is so fucking gay. I like how the jeep owners can only find a handful of bad hummer videos as opposed to the thousands of videos of jeeps getting stuck. the first H1 wasn't even going the same path as the XJ and the YJ either. wtf

well from personal experience hummers are not the best trail vehicle the h1's are impressive in some respects. when it comes to any kind of articulation like real "wheeling" they just suck like in the video. they are big heavy and just cant go some places a jeep could or any smaller 4x4 and do the same things. and the h2's are fucking joke...

well we all know that h2s are fucking gay but the real HUMMER (H1 as it is so gayly called now) fucking dominates on the off road. there is not a single production vehicle that can top the technology and off road performance that the hummer can accomplish stock. a lot of people don't like them, but I know from experience that they fucking kill.

no doubt that there is a lot of technology in the hummer and it can do some amazing things but ultimately they suck as an average bashing crawling rig. they were deigned for the military so a "stock" hummer isnt really something i would call stock a hummer is a purpose built offroad vehicle, whereas a something like a jeep was designed as much for going down the highway as for going offroad. they both have their strong points and their weak ones. if i had choice between a hummer and an old school cj8 i would take cj hands down...

see but there is where alot of people make their mistakes Jeeps are also just civilized military vehicles, just like the Hummer and the HMMWV. besides gas mileage a Hummer is just as streetable as any jeep. most people think they cannot do certain things on road because they are so wide, but they are in fact still much skinnier than a full size dually. rock cawling wise the independent suspension does hurt them, at least when its huge rocks as they are in rock crawling events, but thats why you never see them there. Every where else they kick ass and yes they still out perform any other stock vehicle.

i think thats its been long enough for jeep to get away from their military roots and are more civilized than military. i never said hummers werent streetable i see them all the time on the road but they are still military with same nicer interior and some extra amenities. i dont even think a hummer could be compared to a stock 4x4. its like comparing a race car to its street legal counter part, its purpose built to do somethings and not others. the video that you posted had hummers going over large rocks at moab which is a rock crawlers paradise and they didnt look like they were doing a very good job, like i said before as long as the hummers stay out of the rocks and the real wheeling areas they kick ass. i have been offroading with a guy that had a hummer, it was him, a 87 k5 blazer, a stock yj and a dodge ram charger also stock, i cant tell you the ammount of times that the hummer either got stuck high centered had to find another way because of its size or just had to get out of the way so the rest of us could pass, so like i said before hummers suck i thought they were the shit too until i saw one in person im not saying they cant do some things like go down the road go through some mud or climb steep inclines. when it comes to actual 4 wheeling and all around off road kind of stuff you would encounter on an average outing they just cant keep up with even a mildly modded old school sfa 4x4...
