no money in this motor except the intake that i USED to have on it. all my money went to suspension/wheels/audio.

wayyyy to much, dont go b16, unless you plan on building a monster, learn from others mistakes:assshake:

edit- before SOMEONE says i made a bad comment about all other b16 owners or something, no im talking about my experience with it, if i would have had to do this? id go h-series with spray all the way

AMT charges these prices for machine work on a V8, keep in mind that since your car is a four cylinder it may cost less.

Bore & Hone $200
Bore & Hone with Torque Plate $280

but i would recomend sleeving it if you are going with a bigger bore, which usually costs around $800. AMT can do this for you or I also recommend Benson
Also note that if you are boring it out you will need bigger pistons, many aftermarket companies have them for sale off the shelf, or you can get a custom made set by ROSS pistons for around $600

Here is AMTs info if you are interested.

i wasnt really planning on sleeving my block. i dont have the money for that if i can just get it honed im probably gonna do that. when my buddy owned the motor i looked up alot of stuff for his build and it came up to only about right under 2000. but i lost my fav. list when i got my new computer.

well a hone isn't going to do much unless you are getting new pistons as well, and boring it will require sleeves and pistons to get it done right. how much do you want to spend on the engine (roughly) right now? and it will be boosted right?

im wanting to boost it. but it wont be boosted for about a year. im wanting to build the motor to withstand a good amount of boost, before the swap. the only problem is going to be drivability between when the swap is done and when it is boosted. im probably going to build my motor when i get my tax refund. im not sure in a limit but i cant spend anything until after x mas.
