the only good thing about a ap2 is the 06+ are flash pro capable. Buy a ap1, you wont regret it, buy mine when it goes up in a while

edit: mines a 01 but it has a glass back window, and ap2's have cdv, you wont like that

Welcome new guy, I don't even care what your name is, But there are a few S2000 owners on here.

From what I have gathered in my reading and studying, the AP1's at times seem to be the better choice... A motor that is a little more fun, but if you get one make sure you get one after '03 due to the fact that it has better suspension and a rear glass window and not the plastic rear window.

If you don't mind me asking, why an AP2 or do you plan to buy a BRAND NEW one from the dealer, because that might be a little hard to due since they quit production on them.
I want an Ap2 because, well actually, i want a 06-07. I want a specific color combo, its the silverstone metallic, with the red and black leather interior. also in 06 and 07 was the last year that they included the red and black door panels, which is just a personal pref. really. the ap1 does have a higher redline, but the ap2 lower torque band is more efficent when you just not in that mood.

yep. Best thing to do is get the ap1, then you can buy whatever ap2 parts you like to put on it
