new guy.....with a Camaro

Post by Bad Bowtie »

damnit i knew i should have kept all the links i went to. ill sift back through them later cuz im about to get off but heres something i did have. its a pretty good run. i retract my statement on mid 12s. this vid is a good run, 1.97 60', just over 13 flat. still wanna say high 12s. ive seen a bone stock C5Z go 12.5 at gateway, and these are only 50hp behind it, and not too much weight. those 13.3s are probably the below or jsut at average drivers so high 12s or floating around 13 flat sounds good.

either way, once we get ours cars straightened out, well have to get a few good runs in. dig, roll idc. ill give you youre races and ill take a few of my own. :)

fuck, stop bench racing, have you actually even seen a stock fbody go 12.9 in person? i doubt it. I have, with an excellent driver and a car that runs stronger than most, it was also an m6 car.
stock c5 vettes run 13s all day long, just because a car is lighter doesn't automatically mean it's going to run better times.
i have some friends who ran 10's on their "super gay" 10 bolt, granted it's a piece of glass rear end, some of them get into 10s easy. vettes have a weak irs suspension and when they leave hard off the line with slicks or sticky tires they snap half shafts and break transmissions.

Loved mine. Still had stock rear end when I sold it. My buddies T/A ran 11.6's all day long on slicks with the stock rear end as well. Some last, some dont.

i have friends who have done the same as well, i broke mine with stock power though, so for me it is super gay lol. and sorry for benchracing, just got a little carried away.

very true. slicks tend to be easier on the rear than drag radials. friend of mine even yanked the wheels on the 10 bolt.

that camaro loks great, and so does the new ride! i take it you like that color?
