hey guys, My name is Sean, just joining to get some info on a DD i might be interested in buying, a 95 civic. not interested in modding it, just looking for quirks, problems, etc. i drive a 99 Navy Blue Metallic six speed Z28, thats where the mods go. been looking for a DD to keep the miles off the Z, and finally not have to park at the back of the parking lot and worry about my car getting dinged up. lol. anyways, not here to start shit or bash your cars, just to learn about another platform's potential as well as something I might be buying. Bash me or my car, and i will defend myself though. Hope to learn alot and enjoy my stay on yet another forum [Im on the biggest national LSx site as well as a few racing local boards].

I'm finishing up my first round of mods this week. I have my longtube headers [no EGR, no cats] on and im just waiting to weld and get on my X pipe and dynomax bullet mufflers dumped before the axle. True duals are the only way for a muscle car to breathe!


.....oh and the avatar pic is a joke. it was on jackstands from when i was putting the headers on, battery i guess wasnt all the way disconnected thanks to a friend, and pwoer flashed on for a second, locking the gauges where they were. i wasnt trying to take a pic at 170mph lol. notice no battery volts. and as you can see, i love my t-tops

I have had about 7 5th gen civics and have never had any issues they are great cars!!! And good luck not modding it when you get one as a DD, many have said that and all have modded atleast something on it haha but welcome to the sight!!!

ha well good to know if i end up buying it. but i doubt id do anything to it. my camaro will be in the 12s easy, as long as i dont spin too hard, but im buying some drag radials for next season. for me, there is no real sense in modding something with alot less potential than my camaro. not ripping on any hondas, so dont get me wrong there, it just takes alot of work to get where i am now with my Z28. next year, if i dont sell it to buy a GTO, ill be going heads/cam and maybe some spray to hit 10s. big difference in the driveability of a 10 second civic vs a 10 second camaro. i guess if you call tinted windows a mod, then maybe i would have 1 mod haha. other than that, waste of money that could be spent better elsewhere. i have 1 moneypit, dont need 2. ill sometimes drive my dad's [gutless] 5 speed ford focus but i love the gas mileage, so this civic would be just for that, since i have to drive alot for work. any nice day, camaro comes out. right now i pull around 30mpg on the highway, 20 city, depending on how heavy my lead foot is. lol.

my friend used to have a civic. bought a cold intake for it and was pisse he wasted the money so he told me if i bought this one to save my money, so just another point for my view.
