get yourself a header and a high flow cat, that 3 bolt flange is the same type of flange thats on the cat, but since you have a cx precat style you dont have the right type of flange. however i think that if you put that exhaust on, there should be the right amount of space to bolt a cat in or test pipe so you dont have to cut weld anything. if not get yourself a downpipe from a dx or ex and cut/weld it to fit between your stock downpipe and the exhaust.

uhhh are you sure its not because its supposed to bolt up to a cat/testpipe?

I see tons of cats that are 2bolt up front and 3 in back... and headers that are 2bolt outlets. they wouldnt desing them that way if it wasnt for a reason

stolle beat me to it.

okay so should i buy a header and test pipe used or buy a ex manifold back to cat. keep in mind the k24/20 will be in next summer

b/c i heard headers on a d series are a waste of money and to just go with an ex. and would an ex work on a b8.

just go to the junkyard and get a dx or ex stock mani and down pipe or find one locally usually the junkyards cut the down pipe to remove the cat but you could always take it anyway and weld on an extra piece of pipe and a 3 bolt flange. or if your lucky and find a cat or test pipe with a stock ex dx mani and downpipe everything bolts right on :D
