Guess I'll introduce...

Post by aquaya3 »

Heyyy, my name's Jimmy, joined a while ago but I never post. Thought I might as well start getting a littttle more involved on here, so just wanted to say hi. I have a 1999 Acura 2.3CL, YA3 chassis with the ever so lovely F23A1 -.-. I'm a little stuck on plans, I was retarded and bought an auto, and if any of you know anything about F series auto trans, you'd know they're crap. I was starting-ish to piece together a turbo kit, but the trans started slipping, so I'm sitting on my hands a bit haha. God I talk to much, here's a list of what's done:

-HKS Super Dragger axle back exhaust mated to 60mm piping from the cat
-"Custom" (haha) intake with HKS Megaflow filter
-Custom done valve cover, got another on the way
-5Zigen FNO1R-C 17x7 wheels
-Nitto Neo-gen 205-45's
-10% window tints that need to come off
-KSport coilovers sitting in my room, driveway's too steep
-Semi-large stereo, with 12" Alpine Type-X, MRD-M1005, CDA-9885...selling to a friend, that Type-X is so flippin heavy
-Semi de-badged

All I can think of right now...

Any suggestions on what to do next will be greatly appreciated, I personally like doing paint/design/refinishing work, so I'm looking for a set or two of wheels to work on and I'm always thinking of new stupid valve cover ideas. Heavy power-adders are kind of not an option, that transmission just can't handle it. I'm roughly going to have 700$ that I'm okay with spending, have plenty more if NEED be, but I'll be shot if I spend much more than that. Here's some pictures:

Terrible HDR, I know, but the only shot I had of the back.

Yah I overexplain things a lot, I know. Anything you want to know, I'll be glad to explain =)

Thanks to all of you. And I've been trying to think of excuses to throw the coils on too, but I scrape at stock height if I go over idle going up the driveway...I'm not seeing this working (and it's not the muffler scaping that I care about...I scrape my front as well). I'm debating throwing in a new tranny/getting it rebuilt, I just hate the thought of putting money into an auto flipping tranny...I was hoping it'd hold out enough for me to ATTEMPT a K24a2/4 swap with a manual, but it's not looking fantastic. Oh and the bay's already been cleaned, I'm thinking about starting to learn about wire tucks, I'm just really sick of wires haha. Also going to polish the stock header, about a fourth of the way there now...I mean why not?

I have learned the best way to attack a lot bad driveways is to take ridiculous angles... I watch cars turn around in my driveway and scrape their bumpers all the time, but I avoid scraping every day in my (slammed) del sol
This post comes with a guarantee: I guarantee that I don't care what you think about it.

Welcome.
Park on the street perhaps? That car is begging to be dropped, even just a little bit would look good. I would remove the wind deflector if I were you.
For the record those are my favorite wheels of all time and I'm jealous of anybody who has them. Thats my favorite finish too.
