Did you boost with DSM parts or what? You're lucky that motor hasn't blown yet...thats alot of boost on a stock f22b.
Good job on the power numbers though.

thats not all that much boost and regardless boost is relative to the unit pushing it. 15psi is alot different on a 14b vs a t4.... so psi alone is not an accurate way to judge if you reaching the limits of a motor.

he is not that close to a stock f22's limits yet... trust me... :wink2:

ya its alot of boost but the f20b stock bottom end is way stronger than an H22a and they run 15 sometimes so. but ya id say keep that at 8lbs for daily driving :)

Theres only a small number of people on cb7tuner.com with boosted f22s that have had it last over a year on stock internals....just saying.

well i have been driving to for two years hard on 14lbs. i have ran 15lbs before at the track with a little c16/92oct mix in the tank.
it started out a turbonectics kit with a 40 trim sold it and went to a 50trim percision.
its not alot of boost for this cars 8.8 comp. you can though the boost to it.
some have ran 17lbs before.

F22A's and B's can handle a ton of boost. The combination of low compression and iron sleves, a stock block can take a beating! The only thing that is a question in an F22 build is the rods. However, even those can handle quite a bit of boost from what i have herd.

However, 14lbs is a bit high for daily driving, but like you said, i have herd of people going upwards of 20lbs on stock internals. I dont know how long the motor lasted after that. I would rock an F22 with about 10psi for daily, but thats just me being safe.

stock head bolts will stretch and head lift or ring landings will go first. rods will take a pretty good beating before you bend one up or over rev it hard enough to stretch the bolts holding the caps on, if you dont first cook a bearing when you have a oiling issue. sleeves well as said those are iron in the good ole f.

as with any honda though the ring landings dont tolerate much abuse when you get into higher boost levels... per say from a tune not quite spot on, detonation from bad gas, etc.

for reference, mine ran a year or just a bit more @ 335whp with 14-16ish psi (forget exactly how much i was running then) through a 60-1 pump 93 piss gas. unfortunately I was maxed out on the injector (450cc) leaving little room for safe fueling when the wastegate line came off causing a massive boost spike (25+ psi). I did not catch it in time and the boost cut was not set cause I was cheating pushing more boost than the map sensor could read. funny thing is the car drove home after doing it with a blown headgasket and a crack ring landing... drove fine though, idled like a subaru cause of being down compression on a cyl but made it home. took a BEATING and then some.

I still know for a fact I could have made more power if I had more injector, better clutch that did not start slipping, etc...
