^^ hey now! be nice! i've been outta the loop for a while lol. can't keep up with you kids nowadays lol. but seriously, before gateway went under, i thought matt was having conflict issues with the previous owners of gateway about midnight madness? i remember matt talking about stopping midnight madness and starting some other car show instead. this is where i was getting confused about this new midnight sadness starting up. chances of me going are slim anyways. it was gay in the past. it will be gay in the future.

My comment was directed at you, just this thread in general. BTW, pretty sure I'm older than you, lol

But yes, STLSR had nothing to do with the last few MMs before Gateway went under. They kept it going though without him, which was their own prerogative to do so. I only went once and had no desire to go back, so I can't say I'm sad to see it go.

Plus, last I'd heard, Gateway hasn't actually sold yet and they don't even have any idea of if/when it'll actually get to re-open, as IL just denied them tax money to get the renovations going. Lastly, who's to say that the new owner would want to run something like that anyway?

I'm just tired of hearing some new rumor about Gateway every other day. I'll believe it opening back up whenever I see a legit story about it on the news, see Bret Kepner post something about it, or hear of some actual racing organization (NHRA, etc) coming to town there.

i was just making sure the facts i heard from matt were still somewhat straight lol and i agree with you 100% of what i underlined. i've been perfectly fine without gateway this long. it's not going to affect what i do day in and day out whether gateway opens back up/faults again lol.
