arrogance much....mike93hatch;238600 wrote:wow i leave this website for months and this is what i come back to..
i did not say that first off. mickey thompson IS better than m&h yes, but i didnt say they suck... i said to me and my car they suck because theyre almost 26" tall. way to big for my liking.
no i dont know everything about hondas...besides what does m&h have to do with knowing hondas? either way ive been running the shit out of the same 400whp d16 for 4 years now and still quicker than everyone in stl even with a 4 year old cheap setup. so i know something. i know that jdm show cars are ratarded.

haha first off dude, like i said... i dont give a shit if anyone is quicker than me lol. i have a 4 year old d16 street car i take to the track twice a year.96civic cr-v;238818 wrote:Still waiting on a time slip....
my 1/8th mile et is quicker than yours. but i dont know very many honda guys who give a shit about the 1/8th lol..and i also dont give a shit if you cant afford slicks. you better get some though because your still in the 11's with drag radials. your mph will be high, but still in 11's.

He is pushing almost 10 more mile per hour than you at the 1/8th....at only a tenth slower e.t.
He will pass you by the 1000 ft. mark.
He asked for a dot time that was faster. I know you don't care either way, but you cannot argue that the car is quick without "slicks".
The first 1/8th mile pretty much gives you the win or the loss with closely comparable cars.

dude no where in this thread did he say he couldnt afford to buy slicks.... he own a very piss poor set of mt slicks and whats sad is the m and h dot radials do better then the slicks do.... i would say when he gets a set of m and h slicks he will easily be in the 6s...mike93hatch;238866 wrote:haha first off dude, like i said... i dont give a shit if anyone is quicker than me lol. i have a 4 year old d16 street car i take to the track twice a year.

although you have a good pass there... that is you on slicks... no drag radials....
so even though this isnt my battle.... i would say quit throwing up you have a 4 year old setup... i am sorry you cant afford to upgrade....(doesnt feel good when someone says you cant afford something doesnt it...)

Do some calculating. 5thgen said I would have caught u B4 the 1000ft. But hey ur right car is 4 year old set up and u just go in the 10's last year....lol this was the second night EVER running on my dr's and im pretty sure it will run fast than a 10.9 and trap close to 140mph in the 1/4 on dot's.... And where did can't afford slicks come in??? I have slicks and exospeed wheels that stay in my trunk of my car cause I drivE my car to the track 9/10 times. Last I seen u was trying to borrow some wheels & tire to run at the last IFO in KS....
Here is a pic of my car w/ my wheels and SLICKS on

lol, slicks do have a shelf life you know.. doesnt matter if they are have a ton of rubber left on them.v8this;238900 wrote:he own a very piss poor set of mt slicks and whats sad is the m and h dot radials do better then the slicks do.... i would say when he gets a set of m and h slicks he will easily be in the 6s...
well dur.. why the hell would i goto the track and not use my slicks? i only go twice a year.v8this;238900 wrote: although you have a good pass there... that is you on slicks... no drag radials....
you guys brought me into this. its not that i cant afford it, its that i dont need to upgrade. 10 second fwd street car is plenty quick for me on the street. this isnt a drag car at all. like i said i goto the track twice a year just for the fun of it. it gets driven a couple times a week.v8this;238900 wrote: so even though this isnt my battle.... i would say quit throwing up you have a 4 year old setup... i am sorry you cant afford to upgrade....(doesnt feel good when someone says you cant afford something doesnt it...)
like i said... on your drag radials...no, youre not quicker.. on slicks yes. unless your car has more in it than what the timeslip you posted is showing...youre not hooking up at all.96civic cr-v;238914 wrote:Do some calculating. 5thgen said I would have caught u B4 the 1000ft.
uhh yea.. it was a 11 second car and ive done alot of changes in those 4 years so now its a 10 second car. the engine is all still the same though.96civic cr-v;238914 wrote:But hey ur right car is 4 year old set up and u just go in the 10's last year....
not with a 7.2x in the 1/8th.96civic cr-v;238914 wrote:this was the second night EVER running on my dr's and im pretty sure it will run fast than a 10.9 and trap close to 140mph in the 1/4 on dot's....
i assumed you couldnt because if you had slicks i would think you had enough sense to use them at the track...then maybe you get some experience launching it.96civic cr-v;238914 wrote:And where did can't afford slicks come in??? so you take the slicks to the track and dont put them on? why take them then?
lol, i was asking to borrow a set of skinnies, and yes my friends got me some. im not gonna invest in a set of skinnies for a street car that sees the track once or twice a year.96civic cr-v;238914 wrote:Last I seen u was trying to borrow some wheels & tire to run at the last IFO in KS....
thats nice but how about a TIMESLIP with the SLICKS on...IN THE 1/4 MILE96civic cr-v;238914 wrote: Here is a pic of my car w/ my wheels and SLICKS on

mt > m&h
yes, ive tried both. and yes, the quickest hondas in the country are running mickey thompsons...that should tell you something, right? yea, m&h work...but mt work better.
