Autocross this Sunday 3/7

I'm wondering who OK'd this to be posted... I know Rick and Steve, the guys that run these Boeing events, wanted to keep the group on the small side. They have a limited number of helmets, and the more people that run, the more time the event takes. As it was, last year's growing events lasted til around 3pm. Figure 6 runs per person, 3 minutes per car per run(total time - staging and all that), that's an additional, to keep it easy, 15 minutes added per person - not including cones being hit/time for that... add more and more people and these become long day events.

Just sayin'. I'll be there Sunday. Been doing these events since '08.

i think i did well i beat a stingray lol
i had tons of fun took longer than i thought and the corse was super confusing

oh yeah walmart helmet ftw gonna return it tommorow

lol @ 2 C3 Stingrays autocrossing. The blue one is a regular, never seen the very clean red one before...

It took so long because normally we have 15 cars, not 40...but it was posted on this forum, DriftSTL, and STLImports, maybe others. Originally the event was for Boeing employees only. I got in it back in '08 because Rick bought a Mazda6 from my dealership and he invited me to join in.

The courses are ALWAYS pretty complex - I like it, others don't...but given the parking lot and employees/guests parking in the middle of it, the courses normally have loops/cross-overs/etc to keep the average run times around 1 minute.

Overall it was a nice day but a long day because of how many people ran...

i was workin on my car all morning so i got there real late... i was able to get some video of v-tecivic and matt, at least i thought i did... my battery was hella low and apparently because of this i did not record anything...

sorry guys, i was looking forward to posting the vid's tonight...

Why hate when we are getting people into the sport?

I know this was supposed to be YOUR day out there and I don't know how the info was leaked onto public forums or how the word got out for people to post it on here and elsewhere, but sorry that we had fun raining on your parade Ryan.

If it was supposed to be for a select few, then the head guy could have turned them away and told them to watch... but you guys were nice enough to swallow your anger and show a smile while grinding your teeth in frustration and anger... Thank you for now showing us how pissed off we really made you.

I enjoyed myself and all the pictures I took today and all the people I got to meet and all the friends I got to see again from their winter hibernation. :drinkup1:
