for me it has more to do with location of the track in relation to where I live. closest 1/4 mile is STL...so 1.5-2 hrs each way. Closest 1/8...26 miles, 30 minutes. STL is a long way from home to break your car, and if you're gonna tow it then fuel gets pricey. Not to mention if you hurt someone's feelings they pull the 'it's not a driver...they pulled it up here on a trailer' argument. On top of that, after a long night of racing STL is a LONG drive home before I can go beddybye.

AND, in the FWD world ALOT of the race is determined in the first 660, the last 660 is a horsepower game. IMO.
