2008 NOVICE AUTOCROSS SCHOOL

The Solo Advisory Committee is pleased to announce that the 2008 Novice Autocross School has been scheduled for Sunday March 16 at Gateway International Raceway.

The school is an introduction to the sport of autocross (solo). It will begin at approximately 7:30AM with registration and a classroom session to discuss solo competition, safety and an introduction to performance driving techniques. The classroom session will be followed by individual instruction by top autocross drivers from the St. Louis Region of the SCCA. The school expected to run through 4:30PM. Lunch will be provided.

Any driver with a valid driver’s license who has competed in fewer than five previous autocross events (St. Louis Region SCCA and/or any other car club) may participate. Students must provide their own car. Helmets (Snell 95 or newer) are required. Loaner helmets are available. All students will be required to sign the standard SCCA insurance waiver. Students under age 18 will be required to complete the SCCA Minor Waiver which requires signatures from parents or guardians.

Attendance is limited to thirty students. Preregistration is required; no walk-ins will be allowed to participate.

Planning for this year’s school is still in progress; however we expect the entry fee to be around $100. Full details including on-line registration procedures will be posted on stlscca.org in early February. Contact the event chairman, Bryan Sechrist (bryan.sechrist@att.net) (314) 725-5571 for more information.

yup, the information was actually posted on another website weeks ago. I know it's been on the subaru forums for awhile, and many of its members signed up.

Gheez, that thing has always filled so fast ... I only made it in once out of 4 tries

Too bad ... you can do timed AutoX runs all day long til your tires melt for cheap $

:ohnoes: ...Decided to scrap my turbo project so I could afford some of these. I hope I can get into some. I need to check up on the Honda day at the track again. How's that going?
