He didn't blow money on the head as he got it for free. All Honda engines are interference.SilverStreak;125415 wrote:Since the dudes on a budget, I don't see why he blew money on a head he most likely didn't need. Like I said, I thought the D15B2 was non-interference. The OP can correct me if I'm wrong...

I probably agree since I'm not too interested in Honda vehicles older than 84 or newer than 01 so I wouldn't really know on those. I would like to know which Honda vehicles are non-interference though. If you find out let me know Streak.SilverStreak;125439 wrote:Not all, but most are.

1.8 and 2.0's out of Preludes and Accords are supposed to be non-interference. The LS motor is supposed to be non-interferance, but it probably is. Most of the time, you won't bend a valve unless your at super high RPM's or excessively cranking the motor after the timing belt broke.schmoe5;125440 wrote:I probably agree since I'm not too interested in Honda vehicles older than 84 or newer than 01 so I wouldn't really know on those. hey man, welcome to the site... sell me your car when it's running, you'll make a nice profit. I'm serious, I wanna buy it.
to nomocars23: short answer is interference motors often suffer damage when the timing belt breaks... bent valves are common.

All Prelude engines are all interference engines. Not 100% sure about the accords though.SilverStreak;125441 wrote:1.8 and 2.0's out of Preludes and Accords are supposed to be non-interference.
