Anyways... the CRX, I got it with an LS engine, LS trans, 4 wheel teggy LS disk brakes, Avid(i think??) engine mounts, riding on 15" steelies with nearly shot tires. The blue interior is in terrible shape. The climate control is in about 4 pieces, there's no radio at all, there's an oil pressure gauge in the console that slowly leaks oil, theres a green wire spliced into the fusebox that comes loose and then I lose power to my cluster lights and taillights. It's a mess. I'm currently sourcing black interior pieces. The quarter panels have the usual honda rust, the drivers side door is cancer ridden and missing the lock cylinder, driver's side detent rod is rusted out, the passenger side mirror is missing, and the front bumper and hood alignment are terrible. If you look at the bolts that hold the front bumper on the one on the furthermost drivers side is pushed back about a half inch under the T-bar. The hood is raised almost a quarter of an inch all along the drivers side. I'm not entirely sure if the hood is salvageable or not. Both headlights are fairly loose, which I'm assuming is attributed to broken brackets. I'm planning on replacing the core support, front bumper, headlights, etc. The drivers side seat is held in by 3 bolts. The 4th bolt is missing its mounting point. Where the bolt would go there's a square of metal cut out. With that being said, the car technically only cost me $600 and I couldn't be happier.
The motor burns quite a bit of oil. The guy told me the car has a built bottom end and was "built right" over 60k miles ago. The syncros in the trans are worn. It may be the clutch cable that needs adjusting but if I shift hard I get a grind in almost every gear. The clutch cable feels like it needs snugged up a bit, but not THAT much. The intake he has on here is junk. The coupler that was used was obviously too small, they forced it on and split it down the middle. The guy also gave me a BIBLE of O'reillys reciepts. Lifetime warranty, everything you could imagine.
Plans for the near future:
New driver's side door
New quarters welded in on both sides
New core support and T bar
New floor rail welded in @ drivers seat
Shaved antenna, possibly relocated to fender.
Tuck job
Clean black interior
New windshield.
Respray (Probably stick with NH-521Z "Polar white" or maybe a khaki/army green scheme)
Accord Climate Control
Relocated drycell to framerail or rear cargo area
AEM Hybrid intake or PW:JDM Whale penis
------
Plans for later:
B20 built bottom End
B16 Head (full pnp, valve job, cams, etc.)
B16 or GSR transmission with LS 5th gear
RMF replica header
Innovative cross member
ITR Brake swap w/ mini cooper 11" rotors
I figure the LS will make it until I can get the parts to build the motor I want as long as I don't beat on it. I plan on MIG welding everything myself. It might not be 100% perfect when done but at least I can say I did it and I know the rust won't come back. Enough of me rambling, onto the pics.
The pic I got from CList:

I had to take a few shots on the way home:

I don't have any pics of the crappy blue interior panels before I removed them but they were all cut to hell by the PO, supposedly the guy before the last owner had some "big system" in it that involved cutting the panels up. So, I removed it all. Who needs the extra weight anyways?

The powerplant:

One of the tires was just too bad to continue driving on, I called up my local honda enthusiast buddy of mine and he hooked me up with a 13" steelie with a good tire until I can replace the 2 bad tires. While I was there he dug up the lip from my old HF. I guess I gave it to him before I sold the car. What a find!

I began working on the front end. Took the front bumper off which was quite a chore being that the bolts were UNDER the T-bar. I had to unbolt the T-bar and radiator to get a wrench in at them. At first I thought I would have to replace the core support but later I figured out how to get everything dialed in. All of the forward facing lights on the car are broken somewhere and will be replaced.
Horrible fitment:

Bolt under T-bar:

Core support damage:

The ironic part about this all is, I sold my last CRX HF because I wrecked it and had no clue how to fix the front end. The damage done was almost IDENTICAL to the damage on this car, but it had 0 quarter panel rust.
I drove it like this for a few days until I got an idea:

The hood gap on the drivers side was absolutely horrendous. With a bunch of washers and a few spare hours I managed to make it look decent.

I used a tree, a log chain, and my handy dandy reverse gear. Perfect.

I eventually got tired of the loose, leaking, poorly "installed" oil pressure gauge and decided to try and figure out a way to rig it up without it looking too ghetto.

Lol just playing...
After an old DVD case, a pair of scissors, and 15 minutes I had this.
