Project Resurrection: EG Hatch

Post by Levis2k »

So this weekend we drove the car and it runs amazing! I basically had to replace all the calipers because all but 1 was froze. We got the 2 new front calipers on but had to order the rear because apparently no auto parts stores keep acura calipers in stock. Were still putting small things back on the car like trim pieces and such, but mechanically its done. Here are a couple pictures of it finally out of the garage.

It had a small amount of surface rust on the left quarter, no bigger than your thumb nail. That was it. I got lucky finding this car. Best $200 I ever spent lol

Sorry I haven't made any updates lately. Nothing exciting has happened. Ive just been working out the bugs. I put the new calipers on, which helped but didnt fix my problem. We narrowed it down to a bad brake booster. It will be here today but either tomorrow or friday is when Ill be able to work on the car again. If this fixes (which it should) the problem Ill drive this baby back home!

So yesterday I finally drove the car home! It runs great and I couldn't be any happier. I have a few things still yet to tend to but I'm glad it's home. I snapped a quick driveway shot but later on this week when I get more things done, I'll take finished pics and finally bring this restore to an end. Is all that's left is installing the lowering springs, radio, wiper arms, recharging the a/c and getting it realigned. Here's a quick pic of it finally HOME
