Project Resurrection: EG Hatch

I have had many requests to make a build thread of the progress of my DD, so here you guys go. It is a '93 CX and honestly, overall it was in surprisingly very good condition besides all the junk that was inside it.

This is how I found it. It sat for 4 years in this spot. As you can tell it kinda sank in the ground.

Here it is after we got it home

In the background of the above picture, you can see my "donor" car I also picked up. It is a '95 VX and it had mint interior, rear disc brakes, rear sway bar etc. Everything from it went onto the CX

Here's the stock motor. The cam shaft snapped. too much power I guess lol

This is what the interior looked like. You can only imagine what all we found in there, including a 1997 porn magazine lol

Other than everything the previous owner painted blue, the interior was actually in very good shape, But we swapped every piece of interior from the donor, including the head liner.

It took 1 1/2 of the big trash bags to clean the junk out of the car. Here it is all cleaned out

Here's a pic of me and Austin gutting the interior for the donor cars pieces. So far the dash was swapped

The motor is out and the bay is ready for a good cleaning

Bay is all cleaned up, ready for the new swap

Either today or tomorrow my new motor should be here, thanks to Steve at HMotors. I went with a B18B (LS Swap) because thats what was in stock at the time. I originally wanted to do a D15b swap but I'll like the LS swap more. My plans for the car is to build the ultimate DD because I travel alot for work and want something with great gas mileage. The car is basically going to be in completely stock form. I just want a clean, dependable Daily Driver. That is all the pics I have currently. Were going to start the body work tomorrow and hopefully by next weekend it will be ready for paint. Ill update with pics soon

“Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” - Bruce Lee
