She's almost ready for her first start up!

Here is the gravy that drained out of the oil pan.

I had a hose that I could not get the damn clamp on, on the back of the block. Its the kind of clamp you squeeze the ears to loosen, and then when you've got it in place, just release the ears. Well it was a two handed ordeal with room for only one hand. A Hemostat saved the day!

I posted this on facebook where not many of my friends have any idea what this is.

After I got the head on, fired it up.... it was only running on 2 cylinders. 2 injectors were crap.

I soaked the 2 bad ones in seafoam for over a month.

One injector returned to working order, but alas I broke down and bought one new one.

Ever thought of sonic cleaning the injectors?

I need to fix the exhaust and make it road legal. Then decide if I'm doing body work or not, then slam time.

That's actually a great idea. The seafoam was laying right there. The one I replaced was stuck open. It also had a crack in the plastic at the tip. I don't know that the crack affected it, but it was damaged.
