MMmmMM tasty.
“Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” - Bruce Lee

"In the spring you will bloom like your heart through the glass in the back of the ambulance. You turn and you turn and you turn down the street, one more turn, won't you come back to me? And as it turns, the red lights, they were turning into red roses, red roses. Red roses. I'm not giving up." - Steps Ascending by Thursday

That looks to be just the metal ring of the head gasket, not the actual cylinder.

Just a Teaser. The head is back on with a fresh gasket, but I haven't hooked everything up yet. After I tighten everything up, I'll cycle some oil and some water to clean that nasty ho out. Then 50/50 the coolant, and a real oil change and likely seafoam.
