88' Nissan Pulsar

Okay.... after much time neglecting her I've pulled out my Pulsar and will start a build thread. I know shes not a Honda, but the Nissan Scene in STL is either Z cars or Drift cars. (Someone point me in the right direction if you know of something comparable to stlhondas but for Datsun/Nissan locally)

Anyway,
This will be slow going as I work too much and don't break out the tools often enough.

She's on her way to STL!

I've always preferred the sportback to the coupe.

Is that an XE or an SE?

Im sorry but that is hideous. The regular back ones are pretty nice. I've never seen something like that.

The Pulsar is a weird vehicle for sure and its not for everyone.
I love it because it's everything the 80's car could ever be!
Pop-Up headlights, T-Tops, that hatch is designed to be left off on nice days for a full convertible feel.

As for the hatch, I have the regular one, and the Sportbak - both color matched.

There is an even more elusive "SoftBak" that was essentially a fold-able roof that you could quickly stow. Similar to the Bikini tops you see on Jeeps

She is a SE so she has the CA18DE Twin Cam Red Top

Plans thus far:

Restore back to basically new. Mostly paint issues, interior is great.
Maybe do the sleepy eyes on the headlights

The car is fairly heavy, and even though the nicer motor is in there, I have no plans to make it quick. It's awesomely boxy design (particularly with the SportBak on) begs to go low!

I'm not 100% but I think I am going to put an air setup on her. Nothing fancy, just up and down. And I'll toss some decent wheels on her at some point.

If I do go air... which is pretty likely I may be seeking assistance from say... Rion, or anyone else with air experience in the future.

Will see how it goes, I'm just happy to have her living with me. She arrives Saturday.
