UPDATE:

So I havent really driven the car at all, its been on jackstands and havent had much time to do the timing belt and water pump. Took it out yesterday with the weather being decent and put gas in it for the first time since i bought it, back in august. new parts since the OP, skunk2 front camber kit, rear camber kit and amber turn signal lenses. there is a couple of parts here and there that i need to get, but since i quit at honda and going to school fulltime now, ill have to wait to see how the workload is. also im waiting for the next nice day (prolly this coming weekend) to get some good pictures together, and will end up going on the 94 cruise on the 28th. see ya guys there.

I really like this car alot.
“Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” - Bruce Lee

"In the spring you will bloom like your heart through the glass in the back of the ambulance. You turn and you turn and you turn down the street, one more turn, won't you come back to me? And as it turns, the red lights, they were turning into red roses, red roses. Red roses. I'm not giving up." - Steps Ascending by Thursday

So i havent updated this in a while. After finding shit wrong with this car the more i tore it apart throughout the winter (Such as trailing arm bushings falling out, head gasket blown, and a rust hole in the lower portion of the body that normally would be covered by side skirts), I decided that when it acutally was running, (idling bad tho) I wasnt happy with it at all. The paint color was BLAH, the wheels were cheap, and the engine bay and motor were not what i really wanted.

As of now, and ill have some pictures of the progress next time i get some daylight to work on it, i have torn it apart, and will be starting almost from the ground up.

I picked up a b20z off of eh2erik for cheap and having it machined at the moment. head is getting a valve job and hot tanked, block havent heard back what it will need. Will be keeping the stock ys1 transmission though. dont really want to switch to hydro yet.

Im going to be rewraping the door panels and headliner, havent decided on a scheme yet.

And gonna be repainting the car with an actual gun and paint. Going to be going back to the original black, well close to it. I just want the jams to match the outside. Engine bay will get a mild tuck and resprayed as well since the motor is out.

Im not trying to make this a WOW car or stand out, i just want to appreciate all of the work i put into it, without hating it when its all done. Throughout the winter there was corners cut and i was rushed. So im going to start all over, and hopefully the finished product will be better than before.

Sorry for the novel, and ill keep ya'll updated.

Thanks,

Andy
