haha yeah that too. I've had mine for five and a half years and if idiots are gonna keep trashing them like this I will certainly not be letting it go.SweetEBPSi;273058 wrote:Well, this just makes my car just a little more rare.
Everything I've ever seen suggested there were 5,000 of each color made during the 2 years of production. I wonder how many of those 30,000 (if that is accurate) are still out driving around. Like I said, with this I can think of 2 ebp's that are deceased...sad.

If that number were true, I can honestly say several hundreds to several thousands are either stripped, totaled, gone otherwise. I look at the auction sites, for dealers and public, and there are EM1's on there all the time all year long that are stolen and stripped, totaled, completely in peices, etc.00siandrew;273093 wrote:haha yeah that too. It's a Honda... not a classic, collectible car like a 68' Mustang, 68-69' Camaro, 68' Charger, 69 Challenger, etc etc.00siandrew;273093 wrote:haha yeah that too. I've had mine for five and a half years and if idiots are gonna keep trashing them like this I will certainly not be letting it go.

Not saying it's a classic. Just saying it's getting harder to find a good 99-00 Si that hasn't been raped or beat to shit.Devilchrono;273102 wrote:It's a Honda... not a classic, collectible car like a 68' Mustang, 68-69' Camaro, 68' Charger, 69 Challenger, etc etc.

I've always thought it will be cool to have a totally stock and clean em1 say 5-10 years from now. Mine is stock short of a cat back but unfortunately is not all original due to an accident I had. I argue that these cars in clean, original condition will be very desired in those 5-10 years. In my opinion it's the last Si before they turned into pigs. That's just my personal preference though, never cared for the ep3.J.M.P;273094 wrote:If that number were true, I can honestly say several hundreds to several thousands are either stripped, totaled, gone otherwise. Not a classic in the eyes of people who are going to find those cars as desirable. But to die hard Honda fans these are going to be the equivelant to the cars you mentioned. There are a lot of people out there who are very devoted to Hondas and I could see them spending big bucks on these. Probably not what you see spent on those cars, but for a Honda it'll be getting quite a bit of attention.Devilchrono;273102 wrote:It's a Honda... not a classic, collectible car like a 68' Mustang, 68-69' Camaro, 68' Charger, 69 Challenger, etc etc.
